Background

The UNIC total shoulder prosthesis boasts the versatility of anatomical and reverse options on the same stem. This is advantageous when an anatomical prosthesis has to be revised to a reverse in cases where rotator cuff deficiency occurs post operatively.

The UNIC head / stem interface offers the clinician 80 head positions and variable head angle to perfectly recreate the patients’ anatomy. The morse-taper technology in the intermediate module means the head position can be determined quickly and easily by the surgeon. 

The UNIC reverse prosthesis is bone conserving and features a ‘helicoidal’ keel design on the glenosphere.

Instrumentation is provided in 2 ergonomic trays (one for anatomical and one for reverse) saving the scrub nurse space on the table.
